Luan Borelli is an economist with an MA degree from FGV EPGE – Brazilian School of Economics and Finance, and a BA degree from the Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets (IBMEC). Today he works as a Research Assistant at FGV/EPGE and the University of Pittsburgh. Formerly, he was a Researcher at the National Development Research Program (PNPD) of the Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA), serving in the Directorate of Macroeconomic Studies and Policies (DIMAC) with a focus on macroeconomic modeling. He worked for the Ipeadata team, where he was responsible for developing the Ipeadatapy Python package, which today offers the public greater accessibility and technological integration to the Ipeadata databases. So far in his short academic trajectory he has written and published for important institutions, among which nationally one can mention, in addition to IPEA, the National School of Public Administration (ENAP) and the Valor Econômico newspaper; and internationally the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and its public policy portal, VoxEU. More recently, his main research interests have been focused on Econometrics.
